Bruce Donnola: News

Teaching at National Guitar Workshop - July 11, 2007

Some late-breaking news: I've just been asked to teach a week-long class, "The Art of Songwriting", at the National Guitar Workshop's Acoustic Summit, in Belmont, Cal. I'll be filling in for Catherine Berry. The workshop runs from July 14-19. That means I'll be heading to California in 2 days. A somewhat frantic change of plans but it should be fun.

SxSW: Club de Musique Records Showcase 3-14-07 - February 28, 2007

I'll be appearing in the Club de Musique Records Showcase during the SxSW conference in Austin, Texas. The date is March 14, the showcase starts at 1 pm (I'm scheduled to play at 2 pm). The location is the Hole in the Wall at 2338 Guadalupe. My old friend David Hambuger will be backing me up - first time we've had a chance to play together in years, so I'm really looking forward to it. Jono will also be there, along with Jaime Michaels and other great performers from the C de M roster. It's going to be a great time, so if you're in Austin you gotta cut school or call out dead from work and come down to the show.

The Nor'easters - December 5, 2006

Along with all the other dead folks that have their own Myspace.com web page there is now a Nor'easters page. However, the apostrophe in the name screwed up everything, so our page is http://www.myspace.com/thenor39easters Funny, since we used to play a song called "39 Buckaroos". Anyway, I'll eventually set up a Nor'easters page here but for now check it out at myspace.

Peaches of August at Manufacturer - October 27, 2006

Honestly, I swear, no, really, it's coming out soon.

As anyone who has recorded an album knows, the whole process is a series of hurry-up-and-wait moments interrupted by baby steps. But the opus is being pressed and printed right now. November will be the release. Yep, "August" in November. Considering how frigging cold it is right now in the NY Metro area I'd say it won't be a moment too soon.
