Bruce Donnola: Bio

Bruce Donnola

Bruce Donnola, born and bred in New York, has been singing and playing his songs in and around the New York area for more than 25 years. During that time he has written zillions of songs and released 5 albums, plus two EPs.

His most recent album, The Peaches of August was released on the Club de Musique label in Italy. Peaches and his previous cd Vaudeville are available on iTunes and at www.cdbaby.com.

Bruce has had many songs recorded by other artists, most prominently by friend and collaborator Jono Manson. His songs have appeared in movies soundtracks and advertising for KIA Motors.

In the early-mid 1990s Bruce fronted a cult all-acoustic country-swing-folk-blues-rockabilly-bluegrass-cha-cha-waltz band, The Nor’easters, with David Hamburger, Andy Resnick & Artie Baguer.

A BMI affiliated writer, Bruce has taught songwriting at the National Guitar Workshop in San Francisco, as well as working privately with individual students.
