Bruce Donnola Bio

Bruce Donnola is a songwriter and composer from New York. He has recorded five albums including the 2006 CD “The Peaches of August”, which was released on Club de Musique Records in Italy. He has most recently composed an abstract instrumental score for the 2011 theatrical production, Nosferatu: the Vampyre.

In addition to his own recordings, his songs have been recorded by numerous artists including frequent collaborator Jono Manson, John Popper, Shawn Colvin, David Hamburger, the Barnetti Bros Band and many others.

Donnola’s songs have appeared in film scores, including the upcoming "I ♡ Shakey", as well as KIA commercials, television shows and stage plays. He has performed in legendary NYC venues like Folk City and toured Italy. His co-write with Jaime Michaels, “Maybe Superman”, won the 2009 Susanne Millsaps Songwriting Competition at the Snowbird Music Festival.

Bruce has taught songwriting workshops at the Acoustic Summit in San Francisco for the National Guitar Workshop. He teaches songwriting workshops periodically in the New York/New Jersey area, as well as for individual students. He is a BMI-affiliated songwriter.
